Courchevel, part of the largest ski area in the world, is a place to see and to be seen.  It is, without doubt, France's premier resort.  The valley of Courchevel provides 150km of downhill pistes serviced by 62 chairlifts.  Famous for its snowfall, its north facing pistes keeps the snow longer providing superb skiing from the start of the season to Easter.
Serviced by over 450 staff, the Société des Trois Vallées maintains impeccable pistes that have contributed to the resorts reputation.  With an emphasis on safety, there is an avalanche protection system, 563 snow cannons and 26 piste bashers for the 119 pistes.
As part of the Trois Vallées, with over 600kms of prepared and maintained pistes, you can discover scenery from the Mont Blanc Massif to views of the Swiss and Italian Alps.  You can ski the Pointe de Thorens glacier at 3266m by way of the fast and efficient new hands free ski lift system.  Additionally there is 66 kms of cross country ski runs through the forest of Courchevel alone!
With an estimated 30% of non skiing visitors, the resort offers a diversity of other activities ,such as a trip in a piste-basher, a tour on a snow mobile or a hike in the snow covered forests using snow shoes.  The forum houses an ice rink, indoor climbing walls and bowling alley to name a few activities.  The shopping in Courchevel is as diverse as it is alluring.
The choice of après ski is full of options form enjoying an aperitif or bottle of wine in a relaxing bar, experiencing a 2 star Michelin meal to dancing in one of Courchevel's famous nightclubs.
